A Whole New World

I’m excited to be migrating Monograms & Manhattan over to Preppy Panache.  I’ve been waffling with the idea of a custom url and really working on blogging for a while, and when I sat down to think about it, really realized that I’ve outgrown the scope of what Monograms and Manhattan was.  For starters, MES and I won’t be living in Manhattan for much longer, and how much city-living could I be writing about if I wasn’t living in the city?

In came Preppy Panache.  Of course my style is pretty prep, with a touch of trendy/chic and I wanted my lifestyle blog to really speak to what my style was like and what was going with my life.  I’m thrilled about this new iteration and hope you are too.

Glammed out for Valentine's Day

This is how my Valentine's day outfit stacked up.  Super glam, my hair up, I love this striped dress from Kate Spade.  Just makes me feel super old world glam.  Throw on a few stacks of pearl necklaces with one statement necklace for a little glitz, a couple of bangles, my favorite BHLDN pink bow shoes (similar featured below), and voila!  I'm ready for a night out with my hubster

My Commitment to 31



Yesterday I left the brink of my 30s and landed smack dab into my early-30s.  Yikes!  So I'm putting it out there, because if it's not on the internet then it isn't real, I'm going to commit to 30-mins 3x a week to exercise that is above and beyond my normal week; ie walking to work does not count! 

Given my erratic work schedule and travel schedule, it's been very difficult to be consistent about these things.  How do you maintain a good physical regimen when on the road?

Jennifer Zeuner Trunk Show

Our first day back and I'm already hitting up the shopping scene in NYC.  While we were on our honeymoon I had seen ads for Jennifer Zeuner's trunk show starting the day we returned and I couldn't wait to check it out and see what goodies I could scoop up.

While there wasn't a huge selection left, there was definitely enough for me to pick up for great pieces, all in gold vermeil and a bunch of silver and rose left too.  If you're in NYC, and have time on the 7th from 11am-4pm the sale is going on for one more day at 147 W 35th, Ste 905.  Good luck and let me know if you pick up anything good.

Turtle Bay Here We Come

For my fellow New Yorkers, while I might celebrate the upcoming 50-degree weather with you for next week, MES and I will be on our honeymoon in Turtle Bay Oahu, Hawaii.


Peace out brutal temperatures, harsh winds that whip the moisture right out of my cheeks, and snow that seeps through my shows and freezes my toes.  We'll be back by my bday just in time to celebrate the big 3-1.

Peace Out Winter Blues

I am absolutely counting down the days until we leave on our honeymoon to Hawaii and then to Sonoma.  I can't get over how cold it has been in NYC this week!  I'm positively freezing and everything just seems so bland with the sun barely shining and it just feeling very grey to me.

To pick up my spirits after a long week, I decided to whip out my bright pink blazer, usually reserved for spring and summer, but heavy enough for the winter, and pair it with a mint button down.  Adding a little sparkle with my fave gold glitter belt from JCrew, a bold chunky necklace and of course my favorite jewelry piece right now, my monogrammed necklace.
